Podcasting: Taking Faith to the Gym or on the Road

Presenter: Brendan O’Sullivan-Hale

Podcasting offers a means for Christians to engage with their faith during daily activities with creative audio content. The landscape of faith podcasts is far more than sermon recordings—they offer possibilities of deep engagement with scripture, wrestling with hard questions, having fun with our faith, and making surprising personal connections. This workshop will offer a survey of what’s already out there today, how podcasts can be used in formation, and the basics of podcast creation.

Brendan O’Sullivan-Hale is one half of The Collect Call, a weekly lay-led podcast about the Book of Common Prayer. Brendan is a member of the Episcopal Church of All Saints in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he has been engaged in creative use of audio, video, and social media to communicate with the congregation and its neighbors. By day, Brendan is an investment analyst with the Oxford Financial Group, Ltd.
